About the customer

Fleetback is developing innovative SaaS products for the automotive industry for car dealerships sales and after sales services.

Fleetback offers a range of features to help businesses manage their fleets, including real-time GPS tracking, driver performance monitoring, vehicle diagnostics, fuel consumption tracking, and maintenance scheduling. With these tools, businesses can optimize their fleet operations, reduce costs, and improve the overall performance of their fleet.

Fleetback

Fleetback helps car dealerships in their digital transformation journey by developing high business value product with a strong focus on quality and user experience. This application aims to connect car dealers with their customers via the use of videos and photos.

The Fleetback platform is composed of mobile, web and SmartTV applications for the Sales and After Sales departments of car dealerships.

The Challenge

Due to the increase of usage of Fleetback, some performance issues in critical use cases have been raised. Impacts were spotted on global application searches as the volume of data has been increasing highly over the days.

About the project

Fleetback was running components in various Cloud SaaS (AWS and MongoDB) and on-prem infrastructure. Everything has now been migrated to AWS Cloud, Amazon Aurora (with PostgreSQL engine) and Amazon DynamoDB replacing the old database.AWS Services used are:

  • Amazon Aurora
  • Amazon DynamoDB
  • AWS S3
  • AWS EC2
  • AWS CloudTrail & AWS CloudWatch
  • AWS Route 53
  • AWS SNS

Project Solution

Arηs Spikeseed Managed Services solution is designed and implemented to improve database searches at the best running costs and following best practices:

  • Run infrastructure management using MSP best practices
  • Improve robustness by adding secondary PostgreSQL read replica instances.
  • Promote the use of Amazon DynamoDB to store DMS data.
  • Improvements on DynamoDB schema design optimizations to fit various new use cases
